At a quick first glance I thought it was empty propane tanks. But, yes, I remember returnable pop bottles.

huh...I don't remember having to do that...I remember the machines but in NJ we couldn't return the cans for money only in NY great shot though I love the aged look

Wonderful, how the bottles look like they have years of dust on them, and the rack is rusted. Like time forgot them . . .

I remember them...they felt so good on one's hand. It's a great shot: derelict is the word that comes to mind.

Don't remember the rack, but do remember picking up the glass bottles after school with my brother (two cents each) to cash in for spending money.
