143:365 Imported
Meadow salsify is a dandelion like wildflower. It is a native of Europe, but it is now well-established in the United States. A bit nicer than some of the other imports that we suffer with like kudzu and fire ants. Theme #156 Imported.

Don't we all wish we only had native plants and animals. Some of that imported stuff is dangerous to our wildlife....I watch the nature channel some, as you can guess.

I don't think I've ever seen this beautiful flower before. The depth of field in your image is lovely and I like how there is a subtle repetition of the shape of the flower and stem in the blurred background.
