138:365 The Games We Play

138:365 The Games We Play
Anyone for a game of horseshoes? Look at the expressions on these kids’ faces. They are loving this old-fashioned game. However, during the game, a dispute came up about procedures, and one kid whipped out a cell-phone and looked up the game rules on the internet. So times . . . they have changed somewhat. Theme #319 The Games We Play.

That is just too funny about the cell phone, yet so typical of our life today.
Nice catch of the horseshoe in mid-air.

Sorry the Game Is Over, The horses need them back. Great action shot this and very dangerous. (For the photographer and camera)

You're very brave standing there--but it paid off with being able to catch the horseshoe in midair. I didn't kow there were strict rules in horseshoes: I only remember that "Sarge," one of my mentors when I was a teen, required absolute precision in all things, stating, "Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades."

Great mid-toss capture! Nice that you got it above the treeline so it would be visible. I love the story about checking the rules on-line! ;-)
