120:365 Trio

120:365 Trio
Three above-ground tombs in Lafayette #1 Cemetery in New Orleans. Lafayette #1 is one of the oldest cemeteries in New Orleans and it has been in seen in movies many times. I am sure that it is normally a very well kept cemetery, but signs said that a movie is being filmed now. The shaggy grass was perfect for picture taking. Theme #339 Trio.

Fantastic shot, Clara! I love how the design on top of the tombs repeat themselves. I think you chose a great angle to shoot from. I'm kind of hoping you'll have more images from this cemetery to share - it looks like a fascinating place...

Old cemetaries are full of interesting things. I like the angle of this and the processing.

This is so cool, Clara! Awesome! If it would have been dark this would have been almost haunting (it is kinda in the bright light too)!!

Love the angle and composition. I was thinking the same thing Tammy was about it being dark....haunting & mysterious.

Very nice! Did you process this in some way? I love how soft it is, but it's still sharp.

I feel sure I've seen this cemetary in a movie before! What a great find!

Nice! I've never been here. Want to though.

I just started a "photo a day" blog also. Fun little project so far! =)
