111:365 Concrete or Cement

111:365 Concrete of Cement
At the foot of Denny Chimes, there is a Walk of Fame where the captains of the football teams have placed their handprints and footprints since 1948. I tried to pick a football player that might be recognized all over the world. I can barely believe that it has been 44 years since Joe Namath was quarterbacking for the Crimson Tide. I am almost certain that his handprint and footprint have been replaced and this version is almost worn out from people fitting their hands and feet inside of his. Below is a picture of 2008's quarterback John Parker Wilson immortalizing his footprint in the Walk of Fame.

Great images for the theme! And what a way to be there for Wilson's foot!

What a terrific idea for this theme. Some really meaningful concrete...

Yes his name has even made it to Australia. although Don Bradman is a bigger name down under. Great Take.

What a fun idea for the theme! I must confess; in my first, quick read, I thought this was outside a Denny's restaurant...I thought..."Huh?" (blush...) :-D

Great shot for the theme. Amazing how time flies, isn't it?

Nice take on this theme - you've made something as mundane as cement into an interesting image and story.

Great choice for concrete! The diagonal perspective, the texture, and the story make this a great photo.

These are so fun, it is sobering that Joe Namath's prints have been there so long they eroded!
