103:365 Warnings Lighthouses have been used as warnings of rough shoals and other dangers as long as people have been sailing. St. Marks Lighthouse in Florida was built in 1832 and is still in use today. Theme #351 Warnings.
It is good to see any lighthouses still in use when so many are being replaced by modern technology. Love the white and blue combination and the balanced layout you have here.
Love that lighthouse! It's the same one on my blog header. My husband and I went down there last year for our 25th anniversary. I like the angle--I couldn't (or wouldn't) get a shot from there as there were alligators in that area when we were there.

What a beautiful composition, looks like it was a beautiful day three - that bright blue sky is awesome!
What a great shot! And a creative take on the theme, too. The lighthouse looks so crisp against that blue sky.
A wonderful peaceful setting. Lots of contrasts and textures. The water reflection and the sky tie it all together. Beautiful!
Now that is history and longevity all wrapped in one package.
Beautiful photo, the reflection and composition are well done.

It truly is a beautiful image. Wonderful contrast between the calm of your shot and what that lighthouse must have endured...

Great idea for the theme -- and a lovely shot as well
I love lighthouses. Beautiful photograph. Great colors especially the gorgeous blue sky.
Lighthouses should never go away, but it seems they are fading fast. Great photo.
love that it is still in use...gorgeous pic of such a peaceful and pretty place!
Wonderful idea and shot. That sky is awesome! I also like the treatment you gave to the edges.
