207:365 On the Road
The most exciting thing that we did on our vacation was descending Pikes Peak on mountain bikes. Our outfitter was Challenge Unlimited and the whole experience was way cool. Challenge Unlimited takes two vans to the summit of Pikes Peak. I was in the last van, and you can see the front van loaded with bicycles. It was a beautiful, clear morning and our group was very excited. Theme #208.

Did a similar trip in Hawaii...did you find it harder to ride downhill than you thought? (I did...hands tired from braking!) I'll bet you had a ball in those crazy switchbacks!
How exciting! If you ever get to Maui, they also have bike rides down from the summit of Haleakala. I've been up/down in a vehicle, but never on bike. Looks exhilarating. Nice shots. Love that sky. Makes one think you could just drive off that road if you weren't careful.
