186:365 Fruits of the Season

186:365 Fruits of the Season
My husband enjoys gardening and we usually have lots of fresh vegetables in the summer. This white eggplant has been my favorite this year. Eggplants got their name from the white eggplant because, as you can see, it looks like an egg growing on a bush. These original eggplants are making a comeback, and they are quite tasty. Theme #114.

I've never seen a white eggplant. This is a lovely shot!

I'm sure I've not encountered a white one before but that sure explains the name. I love eggplant and your shot does this one justice.

Love this, it took me a minute to figure out what it was - very cool!

Like your composition and the white against the different greens...

Hey...a white one! I took a photo last week of the typical color, but what I was most interested in is the really rough stem. It was such a contrast in textures. You have captured that here, too.
