The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado was built in 1909. It is best known for inspiring Stephen King to write The Shining. It is one of America’s most haunted hotels.

You wouldn't have a ghost of a chance of getting me to stay THERE, Witches and spooks WoW that is scary. LOL

Did you see Jack Nicholson? Or at least, Kim? (She posted a photo of the cool staircase on her blog).

Lovely building!

Ooh, scary! That movie is one of our favorites. Still gives me chills. Nice portrait of this impressive hotel.

Haints are not a particular interest to me, but stunning buildings such as this are. What a grand shot. Love the contrasts between the green landscape, white fence and building with its dormers, red roofs and that pale blue sky with the one cloud. The dark hill and tree on the right, plus what looks to be a rockery fence around the site anchors the rest of the photo. Good job.

I've never watched the Shining because I don't like scary movies. I do like to stay in haunted hotels though and didn't know about this one. Maybe a visit is in order.
