204:365 America the Beautiful

204:365 America the Beautiful
The view from the visitor’s center at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs with the morning sun shining on the Garden and Pikes Peak in the background. It is truly an awe expiring sight. The outlook from the summit of Pikes Peak (below) inspired Katharine Lee Bates to write “America the Beautiful” in 1895.

These photos are awe-inspiring. No wonder a song writer breaks into song when seeing the vistas before her/him. What a capture of that moon smack dab in the middle of that landscape!

Isn't this one of the most beautiful sights in our country! So majestic.

Clara, from the shape of that moon, I really think we were only a day or two behind you in the Springs (we were up in Rocky Mtn NP during that moon). SO sorry we missed each other!

Where are you going on vacation next year? :-D
