284:365 Quirky Another shot of the camp-meeting grounds in Pine Log. There is a very quirky story about the Methodist church here. On August 31, 1886, the Reverend J.N Sullivan was laboring over a sermon on a steaming hot Georgia afternoon. The crowd was not responding. He stopped and prayed, “Lord if it takes it to move the hearts of these people, shake the ground on which this old building stands.” At the moment he concluded his prayer, a very, rare Georgia earthquake occurred shaking the floor and walls of the building. People rushed down the aisle and there was a revival in Georgia that day.
