47:365 Road
47:365 Road
This is Hyatt Lane in the Cades Cove area of the Great Smoky Mountains. My husband and I were on our bicycles and it was raining when we started. I had my camera in a plastic bag, and I only brought my wide angle lens because the conditions were just not good to bring everything. Just to the right of this picture, and just out of range, there is a whole herd of deer grazing. I saw deer, turkeys, squirrels, birds, you name it. Oh well! This is theme #262 Road.

Hey a good photograph a terrific ride with DH great memories, boy the Blogmonster has been kind to you (and me both)
It most have been a nice ride-beautiful pic
Neat shot. I love the tree in the distance.
What a beautiful county road - and it makes for a really lovely picture!
...and a beautiful road and photograph at that.
Road shots always intrigue me. They lead you on to places you may not have seen before. And they tell you something about the people in the area as well. For instance, they value the life of a tree more than they do their inconvenience. Otherwise, the trees would have been cut down to make their road straight. It is nothing for them to take a small detour around the tree branches! Great shot and grand colors.
Great photo - love this. Makes me want to go riding!
A beautiful, serene, quiet road. A wonderful photo....wish I was there!
What a gorgeous photo! And your processing is great, too. Makes want to be there even if it was rainy!
I love road pictures and this is an extra nice one...even without the herd of deer...
This is a beautiful road shot. I think it's been close to 26 years since I've been in Cades Cove' it still appears to be a beautiful spot! And I'm glad to hear the deer are still plentiful.
Great composition!
Beautiful shot, excellent composition.
Oh, I'd love to ride along this road too...it's a beautiful photograph!
Beautiful photo - I wish I had a road like that to ride along. Thanks for the opportunity to experience it vicariously.
What can I say that hasn't been said? Everything a person would want in a landscape photo. I'd like to paint this scene....
This is a very impressive image. I hope you will print and frame it!
love the drama
This is a very dramatic shot. I'm sure the animals around were interesting, but as far as I'm concerned, this is great without the distraction!
