43:365 Time Warp
43:365 Time Warp
This sign on an Alabama county courthouse caught my eye. I haven't thought about a Fallout Shelter since 1965. I thought that they went out with the practice of school children drilling on how to get under their desks in case "the Big One" should be dropped. This is my chosen theme for this week- Time Warp.

Top Time Warp, didn't I see this scene in De Strangelove or How I stopped worrying and learned to love The Bomb?
Ron, I remember watching "On the Beach" about the people in Australia. That movie scared me to death.
I remember air raid drills and the terrible fear I had as a child growing up in the late 50s/early 60s of end stage nuclear war. At one point, I got hold of literature on how to build a bomb shleter in your backyard, and I was wicked upset that my blase parents wouldn't do it.
I still know the site of the bomb shelter I was to go yo in case of "the big one" though I don't think a basement below a frame church would have been all that helpful...
A definite time warp.
A time warp indeed, lovely shot of a scary thing.
Terrific idea for a make your own theme! And yours is a wonderful composition. The sign really gives you pause for thought....
It's kind of scary to see that sign again. I remember it from my childhood. You did a great job on this photo.
This is super for the theme & VERY observant of you!
