I love to read the t-shirt logos in Gatlinburg. There's just no other place that you can get such a mixture of politics, sentimentality, Jesus messsages, and Southern redneck. It's a unique place. This is Theme #93 Fashion.

47:365 Road
This is Hyatt Lane in the Cades Cove area of the Great Smoky Mountains. My husband and I were on our bicycles and it was raining when we started. I had my camera in a plastic bag, and I only brought my wide angle lens because the conditions were just not good to bring everything. Just to the right of this picture, and just out of range, there is a whole herd of deer grazing. I saw deer, turkeys, squirrels, birds, you name it. Oh well! This is theme #262 Road.

43:365 Time Warp
This sign on an Alabama county courthouse caught my eye. I haven't thought about a Fallout Shelter since 1965. I thought that they went out with the practice of school children drilling on how to get under their desks in case "the Big One" should be dropped. This is my chosen theme for this week- Time Warp.

40:365 Perfect Alignment
There is a patch of buttercups on my Mother's road that always bloom in the middle of February. I always try to plan a trip home so that I can see them. Buttercups are my favorite because they are the first splash of color and they bring with them the promise of spring. It looks like four of these sweeties are standing in a perfect line waiting for me to take their picture. This is theme #231 Perfect Alignment.

The weather this year is truly living up to the old saying . . . if you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes. It is warm and pleasant one day and freezing the next. But, snow does not look like it is in the forecast for Georgia. This is what my favorite hiking trail looks like in the winter. This is theme #363 Winter.
