The rhododendron bush at the end of my porch is in full bloom. It is always nice to come home to such a welcoming sight. This week on the Element's Village forum, the Be Creative thread is about the Orton Effect. I have been playing with this old favorite for a couple of days, and I think that it gives the flowers a dreamy look. Theme #324 There's No Place Like Home. This is my nephew's little boy. He is adorable with beautiful curly hair. Look what a difference a subtle change in lighting makes as sister was directly facing the window and he was facing perpendicular to the window. I had a great time visiting this sweet family. Theme #71 Curly.

On our way to New Orleans, we stopped to visit with my nephew's family in Louisiana. My great-niece was very proud that she had lost her tooth, and she is showing us the new gap in her smile. This was one of those times when I had perfect light and a beautiful model. All that I did to this image in Photoshop was a levels adjustment. A big smile and natural beauty did the rest.
